On PM Modi's Birthday, Maharashtra To Launch State-Wide Cleanliness Drive (X)
PM Modi's Birthday: PM Modi will mark his 75th birthday on September 17. On his birthday, Maharashtra is all set to launch a massive cleanliness drive in the state. This cleanliness drive will be led by the state’s skill development department, and thousands of ITI students will participate to clean 750 villages across the state. The campaign is scheduled to be launched on September 17, at 11 am in Panvel taluka’s Gavhan gram panchayat. Notably, the inauguration will be done by skill development minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be present at the occasion as its chief mentor.
The main idea behind the drive is to celebrate the PM's Amrit Mahotsav birthday by giving a renewed push to his flagship mission of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
“Cleanliness is one of the key pillars of a developed India," said Lodha, revealing details about the campaign. “PM Modi has called upon every citizen to participate in the Swachh Bharat mission. In Maharashtra, under the guidance of Fadnavis, we are taking that call forward through the participation of skilled youth from ITIs."
He further added that the infrastructure and resources are important. He said, “Cleanliness and health are closely connected. In a country with such a vast population, only public awareness and skilled participation can make Swachh Bharat a reality." As the nation is all set to celebrate PM Modi's birthday, the initiative is being marked as both a tribute to PM’s vision and a step toward creating a healthier and aware state.
